VICTOR LAU
Victor's relationship with games started at around seven years old, when Super Smash Bros. 64 made games feel like more than something to play. It became the spark behind wanting to understand how they worked — and eventually how to build them.
He began programming with ActionScript 3, heavily inspired by the work and teaching of Rex van der Spuy, before making the jump into Unity. That transition was not exactly painless, but stubbornness won. He kept learning, kept programming, and kept turning prototypes into actual games.
Today he leads LauMVP's game direction and programming. The long-term goal is simple to say and difficult to do: build LauMVP into a stable independent studio capable of creating and shipping its own games without depending on outside investment to decide what gets made.
